Indian Idol Season 9 finalist: Here's Baahubali singer LV Revanth's journey on the show

One of the most loved contestants on the show, LV Revanth has survived all challenges on Indian Idol Season 9 and emerged as one of the finalists along with PVNS Rohit and Khuda Baksh. He thrived through the semi final, when he was put to test against Maalvika Sundar, and emerged victorious. He sung 'Moh Moh Ke Dhaage' from "Dum Laga Ke Haisha" for the semi finals, and his soothing voice helped him win accolades from the judges, hence, saving him from being eliminated.
Revanth, who hails from Vishakhapatanam, is not a new comer to the world of singing as he has lent his voice to some of the biggest projects Baahubali. His song Manohari also made him win the IIFA Utsavam award. Giving up on many Telugu projects, the singer made way to the reality show apprehensive, if he would get the Hindi diction correct or not. He took a big step and the biggest risk of his life to put his career at stake for this show. Nevertheless, his hard work and perseverance paid off as he became the most liked contestant of judge Anu Malik, who has already declared him his Indian Idol, and we are hoping Revanth to collaborate with Anu Malik in future.
Born in Vizag, Revanth lost his father before his birth and was raised by his mother. He shared his story on the show and revealed how he pursued his dream by taking up a job at PCO booths and catering companies. All this helped him fund his education in music.
His performance has also brought him recognition among Bollywood stars. Anushka Sharma and Sonakshi Sinha consider him a star and are in awe of his singing. After making a mark in the South film industry, he now wants to earn fame in Bollywood as playback singer. Though, he cannot speak Hindi, but he didn't let this become a hindrance in his performances.

Revanth's dressing sense and style makes him look no less than a South Indian star. His gelled hair tied up in a pony tail, leather jacket and funky shoes are a few things that are always intact.
He has sung songs like Malhari, Aadat Se Majboor, Masakali, Sultan and Jeena Jeena on the show.
Not far from the Trophy, Revanth will be seen competing with the other two finalists on Indian Idol 9 on April 2.
